CONGREGATIONAL CARE TEAM

Our committee focuses on providing support for our members during times of crisis, and we strengthen the bonds of fellowship through visitations and meal deliveries. Here are the 5 main areas that provide care for our wonderful congregation. As we at Woodmont like to say, Stewardship is heart work and we hope you find yourself with a heart for one of these opportunities:

1)       Our TLC ministry provides weekly contacts to our shut-ins and those in need of a caring touch. This is accomplished through phone calls, notes, treats, or in person visits—of course outside until covid subsides. Perhaps your heart lies with visitations.

2)      Feeding our Flock delivers meals to shut-ins or those with health conditions that limit their food resources. We deliver every Monday night with the meals prepared by Kash and her team.  If you have a heart for delivering meals and sharing a smile, this may be an option for you!

3)      Our Prayer Chain provides spiritual support for Woodmont members, and friends of Woodmont. We are blessed to have an active and vital prayer chain. Let us know if participating in the prayer chain speaks to your heart.

4)      Support for our college students is offered in the fall and spring semesters through a personal note of encouragement and a gift card to help ease the stress of exams. Writing a note or two of encouragement may pull your heart strings. If so, let us know!

5)      Finally, we provide Bereavement Meals to Woodmont families who have lost a loved one in town. These meals are currently delivered to the home, typically before or after the funeral service. We are always looking for team members to help prepare or purchase food to provide our families with loving support during times of sorrow. This opportunity may fill your heart with peace as you show your love to our grieving church members.
