Your Personal Invitation from the Church Staff!
You don't want to miss our next Combined Worship Service and family fun day! Worship will be led by our Carolina Cross Connection Mission Team as they share how God was present & active during their week at camp. We will be sharing praise and worship music that spoke to our hearts during the week with confidence that you will be touched, too. During this service, we will also be presenting Bibles to our rising 4th and 5th graders.
Our worship service will be inside and will be very casual. Stay for lunch, fun, and games for the weather looks great on Sunday! The church is providing hot dogs, hamburgers, and beverages. Please click this link to sign-up to bring a condiment, side item, or dessert at http://bit.ly/GuilRockAug25. Be sure to bring any recreational equipment (footballs, corn hole boards, frisbees, fishing supplies, etc.) you would like, and invite a friend or two to come join in worship with us.

Safe Sanctuaries Training Opportunity
A Safe Sanctuaries Training will be offered on: SUNDAY, September 29, 2:00pm - 4:30pm at Mission First in Fellowship Hall.
WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE: Anyone in ministry with children, youth, and vulnerable adult populations; members of the Board of Trustees and S/PPRC; anyone who would like to learn a bit more about Safe Sanctuaries.
TRAINING WILL INCLUDE: the best practices recommended by the WNC Conference of The United Methodist Church and some practical tips to help your church or ministry context provide spaces of safety and grace.
WHY DO WE NEED TRAINING: Every church in the WNCC is required to have a Safe Sanctuaries policy with accompanying procedures. Part of the policy and procedures requires that you and other leaders in your church be trained regularly on best practices and emerging new trends as it relates the prevention of child abuse and safe practices for ministry.
THERE IS NO COST FOR THIS TRAINING AND EACH LOCAL CHURCH CAN BRING AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CHOOSE TO BRING.
If you want to attend, or have any questions, please contact Rev. Michelle Foster-Beckerleg at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than September 25.
Help bring RECYCLING back to Reidsville!
Newspaper article in Rockingham Now.
A public service announcement from the City of Reidsville: "With Waste Management’s recent decision to no longer provide this service to Reidsville City residents, the City has negotiated with Foothill Waste Solutions to offer a voluntary curbside recycling service for our citizens. However, a minimum of 400 Reidsville City residents must sign up prior to September 10th directly with Foothill Waste Solutions before the curbside recycling option can be offered. Curbside recycling cannot be offered by Foothill if less than 400 Reidsville citizens subscribe to this service. Subscribers will be charged $9.50 per month and you will be billed quarterly. Glass will not be collected by Foothill. To subscribe to this service or to learn more about it, call Foothill Waste Solutions at (336) 871-4055. Thank you."
(Many of you have asked me: "What are we going to do about recycling, it's so difficult to throw it in the trash now!" So, I wanted to be sure our members have an opportunity to help bring recycling back to Reidsville ... I have signed up, Jonathan)
